Lital Marom, globally recognized AI keynote speaker and strategic advisor, delivered the keynote at this year's Digital Innovation Summit, the fifth annual gathering hosted by the McKenna Institute in St. Andrews, New Brunswick.
Over two days, around 100 leaders from business, government, and academia came together for practical conversation about how technology and AI can help New Brunswick's businesses and communities grow. Lital took the main stage to challenge the room to think boldly about leadership, innovation, and the future of work, and to treat this moment as one to architect rather than simply survive.
Her message landed on the question now sitting under every AI conversation. When agentic systems can handle almost any task, where does human value go, and what do our people actually do to stand out? It set the tone for two days built around what leaders do next, not just what the technology can do.
"That combination of ambition and heart is what real leadership looks like," Lital said of the work.
The Summit is the centerpiece of a bold, province-wide vision led by Frank McKenna and his team to give New Brunswick the tools to thrive in a digital economy, all rooted in a deep love for community.
The program reflected that ambition. Alongside the announcement of a new AI cohort with the Wallace McCain Institute, the Summit featured two panels on tech adoption, one drawing on success stories from across the province and one on the change management work that decides whether technology ever takes hold. NorthBound Advisory led a hands-on Tech and Tea session, giving participants practical ways to put AI to work on their own terms.
