The scale and scope of what we’re seeing, with organizations of 5,000 or 10,000 employees asking people to work from home very quickly, is unprecedented. And let’s face it, most organizations are not set up for this.

Managers have to be attuned to whether their employees are present and are connecting. You want to look for those signs. 

Are they withdrawn in meetings where usually they’re more participative? 

Are they more verbose in emails than in meetings? 

Reach out to check-in to make sure that they know how to really engage and work remotely. 

There are many things to consider and experiment with as we move into this new reality which will most probably proceed post COVID.
